Work towards Zero Acute Malnutrition in 11 months.
An AI-enabled grassroots mobilizing program by the Zero Hunger Lab at the Asian School of Governance (ASG) that helps municipalities and barangays deliver behavior change among mothers and households and upgrade barangay service capability aligned with the First 1,000 Days program, kicked off in 30 days.
Most nutrition gaps are behavioral (feeding, care, health-seeking, WASH) and service delivery (barangay reach, referral timeliness)—not just plans on paper.
The First 1,000 Days (F1KD) window—from pregnancy to a child’s 2nd birthday—determines life-long outcomes.
Barangays already hold trusted relationships (BHWs, BNS, BCC, SK, faith groups). Navigator taps these strengths, adds AI nudges, and aligns actions with UNICEF / DOH/MOH F1KD guidance.
NutriGov AI Assistant (in Messenger & Classroom)
Weekly micro-nudges for mothers/caregivers and Zero Hunger Navigator Teams (BHW/BNS/SKs/volunteers)
Barangay Capability Boost
Ready-to-use home visit checklists, MUAC & growth monitoring workflows, referral pathways, mother support group guides
Community mobilization kits leveraging barangay strengths (women’s groups, youth, faith leaders)
Team Messenger Cohorts
Each Zero Hunger Navigator Team joins a Messenger group (MHO/NAO, MPDC, MSWDO, BHW/BNS, SK) for weekly tasks, reminders, and quick problem-solving
Recognition & Accountability
Barangay Navigator badges, public Cohort Leaderboard, and a Mayor’s Brief showing F1KD progress
Enroll your LGU team (up to members distributed into teams of 4-6; include 1–2 barangay clusters).
Kickoff on Zoom (1 hour): set F1KD priorities, define your barangay strengths map.
30-day sprint: AI nudges and Messenger checklists drive weekly mother/household actions and barangay service tasks.
Submit your AIP-ready F1KD project + rollout plan; receive certificates and public recognition.
